Counselling is a process which promotes change and personal growth. I offer both short and

long-term interventions based on well-established talking therapies.

My approach is integrative. This means that I draw on different counselling and therapeutic

approaches in order to work in a unique and flexible way with you and the issues (past, present

and future) that you bring into the counselling room.

I base my work with individuals on person-centred theory: it is important that you know you

have choices and that when we work together I will respect you and the decisions you make.

Our relationship needs to be based on trust and genuineness so that we can work co-operatively

together. Other approaches which inform my work include psychodynamic and systems theories.

People come to see me for a variety of reasons, including:

• relationship and family difficulties

• bereavement

• trauma

• loss

• work-home balance

• health

• difficulties at work/school/college/university

• childhood emotional and sexual abuse

• domestic violence

• stress
